The Calling

Just when I felt that being a tutor is fabulous, disaster struck. I got a call from Remy, Winnie's aunt, at 10 in the morning. Still feeling groggy, I answered the call...

'Eh, Darren...Today my husband's company is having a dinner and dance so today Winnie won't be free for tuition..So tomorrow 10-12 ok?'

OH NO! Not only did I lose 2 hours today, I will probably lose 2 hours on Sat and Sun as I was told that there would be 4 hours on weekends... In another word, I lost $240 :(

I went to Orchard at about 3...nothing new there...came back about 9 and planned for tomorrow morning...I'm gonna ask for another hour on Sat and Sun cause I doubt there would be enough time for me to complete the syllabus for Winnie's test on Monday...Hopefully, Remy will agree :p

Say Cheese!

This afternoon, I had to go for my God-father's wedding photoshoot...We decided to have another photoshoot cause the photos took during the wedding was really pathetic and there weren't any that would be nice to really bloom it up...So i got into my vest and my coat and headed to the Studio...The studio was soooo queer...There was this kinda stale smell and the place wasn't as big as we expected...Nonetheless, the pictures were taken...can't post them yet cause they are not ready :p Spent the entire evening preparing for tomorrow's session with Winnie :p

My First Pay Ever

I spent the entire time this afternoon preparing a 2-hour tuition session...You have no idea how tough it can be lol...Printed out some worksheets...I had negotiated my charges and reached an agreement of $40 an hour...not bad huh? I reached Melrose Park at about 6.45...The apartment was on the 10th floor...quite well done...I met Winnie ( thats her real name :p) The kid was like super-smart so I had it off easy =D...I told Remy, Winnie's aunt, that I preferred collecting the payment after every session and ta-da $80 sitting nicely in my wallet :p Was quite pleased with myself as I could tell that I made a good first impression today...Yippie! =D

Time Flies When You're Having Fun

Today, I woke up, took my bath and went straight to the X-Box =D Only had my lunch at about 4...Then I got a shock when I flipped through the pages of the NewPaper for the odds on the ManU...Tottenham match later at 1.30am ( no, I stopped betting a long time back)...Its only like a week and a half more to X'mas...Spent about half an hour finishing cleaning my room before going for football...I had to leave at 6.45 today cause we went to Thomson Plaza for some walk walk...had dinner at Hans...Today, the moon is fantastic...just go have a look...Just don't point at it cause some people say you would get a cut around your ear...but personally, I don't believe this sort of things...Its not written in the Bible, now is it?! :p

Its one thing to see the chance...its another to seize it!

My mum and I were like poking fun at another cashier lol...Cashiers are soo fun when you make fun of them lol *hint hint*(directed to a 1.4/1.5 m tall person who works in the same Ntuc) :p I went to footie at 6 and played till about 9...wasn't so fun today cause there were too many teams...about 7 teams or so... I just hope that I could get a good night's rest tonight...feeling headache-ish at times...So goodnight :p

Woohooo...

Today was a blast. I went to J8 and I told myself over and over again that I must spend on something today. I went to Sembawang Music and bought Tha Carter lll, Lil' Wayne's CD that was released earlier this year. I went to Popular and bought the HighwayCodeBook...I figured I should learn the theory of driving now :p...Then I went to CyberActive. I ended up buying Fifa 09 ( Stocks came in today...yeah) and WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2009. I wanted to get a jacket but decided that its enough for one day. So for the rest of the day, I'll be trying out my new games :p

Not So Exciting

Today, was a very uneventful day. I played Fifa for awhile before getting ready to go for some Bible Study class. I watched a video tutorial for trying to tie a tie. I got it on my first attempt but it didn't look so nice so I tried to tie it again, but this time around, the same video seemed even more confusing and I almost got a headache. Bible class was such a bore...was half-asleep... I wonder what tomorrow will bring but first ManU match :p ...

Spring Cleaning

Today, I was supposed to meet Darrenn Lam, Mitchell and Alvin Lee...but Alvin Lee decided to turn in late last night so he ended up sleeping at home :...We went walk walk at J8 (sian...) then Benjamin met us for lunch. I ordered vegetarian with Darrenn. The stupid fella put so much gravy and when I reached my seat, I realised that my shirt was soaked!!( Oh No!!)...The meal wasn't so nice either...Ben had to go for some interview at a Recruitment Agency (doubt he could speak much after having some 'Super Spicy' noodles for lunch...even the valedictorian is finding it hard to get a job lol...Then I went to my 'other' place at Blk 127 Street 12 for some 'spring' cleaning...Now its all neat and tidy, ready for X'mas...I thought ManU match was tonight but I realised that it was tomorrow. I was ready to stay up...Oh well :p

Vivo

Today, we went to VivoCity. It was my first time there :p The first floor of that place already had more shops than the entire AMK Hub. As we were walking about, I saw this boutique called Valerie and immediatly I thought to myself, ' What is this world coming to?!' I was still looking for a sweater but most shops had sweaters that could keep you warm in Antartica. In the end, I bought a kind of vest from GAP before heading to Starbucks for tea. Well, at least I bought some thing :p...

A Really 'One Kind' Day

Early in the morning, I went for football. I saw Malcolm Tsai (long time no see :p). At the end, one dude from Malcolm's team tried to be funny with Joshua ( he picked the wrong person ) so I had to stop the fist-fight before it turned really nasty. In the evening, I met YJ, Michelle, Mitchell, Alvin, ZC and Darrenn Lam before going where we were supposed to go. Initially, there was a 'one kind' silence before finally, all of us engaged in a conversation. For some weird reason, I realised that the clouds were moving at a really fast pace when we were there ( I'm not sure if the rest noticed it)...We saw a certain someone who was half her supervisor's height at the NTUC opposite the police post :p We then headed to S-11 cause Michelle wanted to have some noodle thingy(forgot the proper name so i wont guess)...Then we saw Jolene working at the NTUC inside J8...lol...By the way, please pray that Alvin wins his bets so lunch on Tuesday will be covered :p

An Awkward Day

The day started out on a rather sad note. We had received bad news when YJ, Kiat Hwee and I met Mitchell, KB, Darrenn Lam and company when they were playing basketball. I shall not elaborate. I kept feeling awkward for some reason...somehow a little guilt came across me :( It really affected my day...We went for lunch and about 3 we went back home... As usual, I went for football and what made the day seem more awkward was that I scored a goal with a header ( seldom you see people do that especially in street soccer ) We won like 6 matches consecutively...not bad huh? I made plans for tomorrow although it took so much patience with a certain someone...*coughing...Mitchell* :p So we will see what happens tomorrow....

Retail Therapy?!

This afternoon, I went out with my mum and sis to AngMoKio Hub. We were looking to do some Christmas shopping...we reached there and walked for about 45 min and we had already covered the whole 'mall' ( if you would call it that ) except for the NTUC...So we ended up taking a train to J8 ( thats how bored we were ). Nothing new there...So at the end of the day, all we bought was a regular Pure Vanilla from CoffeeBeanAndTeaLeaves... Something caught my eye today as I was reading the papers. A 16-year old idiot posted a video of him driving a car on YouTube... So for Thanksgiving, I thank God for granting me more wisdom than that dude :p

The Four Jobless Musketeers

Today, YJ told me that he had resigned and just like Mitchell, today is his last day at work. So ya, theres four people without anything to do :p...Spent the whole day perfecting Fifa 08 so I can own Werder Bremen lol...Don't Forget The Lyrics today was quite funny...i spent so many nights thinking how you did me...Reminded me of Ian lol...So anyone would could pull some strings for the four of us, please let us know!

Boy Scouts

Darrenn Lam and I were like boy scouts finding for a job to do this morning. We met at 10 and headed to J8 looking for jobs. All the shops there except one were not hiring. Fox wanted to hire us but then had no job application form ( so wth la...) Then this Royal Sporting House said that they only have vacancies at their HeadQuarters at MacPherson Road :(...so almost no chance finding any sort of job around the area...Kai Boon, Alex, Nicholas, Isaac, Kiat Hwee, Mitchell, Darrenn, YJ and Ryan Boey then met at my place for Monopoly. We started out with Fifa 08 though...Werder Bremen :p After awhile Isaac and Kiat Hwee left as they had to be somewhere else. Still got 3 bottles of drinks in the refridgerator, Isaac...Then Monopoly...3 hours outrageous trades...$20,000 for Sentosa Cove...Houses and hotels popped up...Mitchell owned all the MRT's but everytime anyone stepped on Sentosa Cove, I would be $20,000 richer...yeah :p But nobody became bankcrupt. In the end, Mitchell was so distraught he messed up the whole board (3 hours came out to nothing...urghh...) I had about $115,000+ and it was total domination from start to finish =D...We had some Malaysian Noodles for dinner...YJ said he may quit his job and Mitchell's last day of work is tomorrow...So 2 more bored souls will join Darrenn Lam and I in job-hunting... :)

So Much For Borders

Today, we went to Great World City. Not to bad a place...I was scouting for a new black jacket but nothing caught my eye. We went to Zara but the only thing that grabbed my attention was the suits. Then we headed to Esprit where I saw something but they didn't have medium-size :(...so suay...) We came across this shop called Skin Couture. They sold this awfully colourful hoodie for eight-hundred bucks...What the hell...One could easily get it customised for about fifty...We took a chartered bus to Orchard. I checked Borders for any vacancies but they weren't having any intakes at the moment. It started to pour not long after so we took 54 back home...Spent the entire evening setting up the Christmas Tree ( Silver and Blue )...Tomorrow Monopoly at 4.30!! Hopefully, love class went to the Red House. Andrew promised a picture if they went there so we can finally put to rest the tale of the Guardian Lions...Darrenn, looks like another day of scouting tomorrow...

A Day Of Job 'Interviews'

What a joke! Today I met Darrenn Lam about 9.45am before heading to the Ntuc outlet opposite the Neighbourhood Police Post. We had the mindset that we would definitely get the job there because a some people (YJ ad Sharon Ong lol...) said that the Fresh department needed more staff. We waited for the damn old boss to finish eating his breakfast(no, not kick the bucket though he might have) before we went into the office. He kept asking us if we were O' Level students as if his dead brain couldn't absorb our words. He said that we had to stop working by the 25th day of the new year ( YJ said we could stop anytime). I told him that we needed to leave the job earlier (Darrenn Lam was going to the US and I wanted to prepare myself before the release of the results) Then, he was like, I don't think this job is suitable for you...We went for lunch before trying our luck at the Ntuc at Junction 8...this time around the fella was like...you must work till mid-feb...Oi!! JC course start in early February...You Jack#$*!! :p We went back to YJ's Ntuc and played with ice ( Darrenn Lam got a very 'cool' face to say the least :p) Fortunately, we had calmed down or you would see the face of the stupid, arrogant idiot on tomorrow's obituary...cause of death: chopped up into hundreds of pieces by two Sec-4 maniacs...nah doubt we would be so evil to do that but you'll never know...Osama is so rich but he still resorted to violence:p Then I played football...I scored this super nice goal from half-court which swerved and dipped right at the end...yeah! Looks like its gonna be Borders heh, Darrenn?
